Cat says hello from her post up high wearing a shiny short silver number. Aaannd…group dance!! it’s Brand New Day from the Wiz and the kids are a painting which comes to life. Awesomeness! Lots of leaps and catches and fun and frenzy until they go back to the frame. Loved it! Decent job for once, Tyce Diorio!
Cat intros the jidges and Mia looks…almost like a girl! Way to go, Mia!
The first two couples come to the stage and it’s Vitolio & Karla and Evan & Randi. Cat tells them that one of them is safe and one is in the bottom. Randi & Evan are SAFE!!! Karla & Vitolio are in the bottom.
After the break, Brandon & Janette, Kupono & Kayla and Ade & Melissa are up to hear their fates. Brandon & Janette are SAFE!! Ade & Melissa are SAFE!!! Kupono & Kayla are in the bottom 3.
During the break I will say, I am sad that K & K are in the bottom. I thought they KILLED it last night. *sigh*
The final two couples are up to see Cat about their status. Phillip & Jeanine are in the bottom. Jason & Caitlin are SAFE!!! The jidges aren’t completely surprised. Well, I think that is what they said, since my family all decided to come into the room and talk non-stop for a full minute and a half. As soon as the jidges stopped talking, everyone hushed up. Love it.
Anyway, Cat introduces a gorgeous couple, Patricia and Desmond, doing a beautiful ballet (I think) routine. Pretty awesome.
After the break, it’s time for solos. Karla is up first dancing to Blackbird by Dionne Farris. There wasn’t much to it. Vitolio dances to Here Comes Goodbye by Rascal Flats. There wasn’t much to it, but it was very emotional. Kayla dances to Stupid by Sarah McLachlan. Very pretty and very Kayla. Kupono dances to Somewhere Over the Rainbow by Iz. Better than a couple of his other solos. I liked it! Break time…
The last two dancers are up with Jeanine going first dancing to Moonlight Sonata. Awesome! Phillip is last dancing to a song by Santigold. His was better than the other guys.
Cat sends the jidges to the deliberation stairs of doom and Kelly Clarkson performs “I Do Not Hookup.” I like Kelly SO much better live. I don’t really care for a lot of her recorded stuff. She looks really great except for her hair which looks a tad limp and lifeless. Who am I kidding? On her worst day she looks better than me!
Time for results! Nigel says they are unanimous tonight. Jeanine is SAFE!! Kayla is SAFE!! Karla is going home! Next up is the boys. Phillip is SAFE! Vitolio is going home. Kupono is SAFE!
Awww…I will miss Vitolio so much! Karla is a good dancer, but for whatever reason, I never ‘connected’ with her. What did YOU think? All I know, next week is going to be even harder!!

I’m glad Jeanine and Philip get to stay another week. They are cute together and Jeanine is the pretty girl this time around.
I actually thought based on last night’s performances that Randi and Evan would be leaving tonight. Certainly a surprise to me that they were safe.
Yes, the judges love Kayla a bit overmuch. She’s really good and the choreographers love her because they can get her to do anything and everything on the first try. I think she needs a stronger partner. I would think that no matter whom she is paired with because she is so overpowering in performance.
I thought Kupono survived on the strength of his partner. The “jidges” are in LOVE with Kayla (well, so am I) and are not willing to break up that pairing just yet.

I wasn’t surprised to see Karla going home. In my opinion, her solo was the weakest tonight. Still sad, though.
I was surprised Vitolio went home over Kupono. Judging on their solos ONLY, I thought Vitolio’s was better.
I couldn’t be a judge. I wouldn’t know who to send home…
