there is nothing wrong with the performance nor the dress but what i do not understand is why does she have to be dressed like that?is it her way of interpreting the song? :wassat:

  2. Joyce says:

Thank you, Angie. I know you well enough to know that you would COMPLETELY agree with me on this one. I was in a huff and needed you badly!!!

    OH NO Y’ALL DI’NT!

Look..I’m a big girl. And I’m not one to get offended at fat jokes in general…HOWEVER…JOYCE, this is where I got yo back, girl! (Sorry I couldn’t be here earlier!)

I, too, would freaking LOVE to look this good! If I did, would I go out on stage and flaunt it? Probably not, but then again I MIGHT because I’d be happy to look so good. Never can tell what a woman might do.

Kimberly Locke is a real woman. An AVERAGE woman. I LOVE that she is not afraid to show that. For the record, I second EVERYTHING Joyce said. And also? I’ve seen more skin on prime time and daytime tv. Whatever.

I can’t even get all my thoughts out so I’ll leave it at, “Yeah, what she said!”

BTW, this footage was from a cruise ship back in May. If my info is correct, and you KNOW everything on the internet is true, it was a gay cruise ship and the entire audience was stripped down as well. The song is called “Change.” Also, she wasn’t lip-syncing, the video is off.

PS What’s the silly saying, “Once you go black, you never go back?” Well, fellas, let me tell ya… ask my husband… Once you go FAT, you never go back!

She can dress however she wants but she can’t lip sync worth a damn and the song is lousy. My guess is she is trying to deflect attention from her “artistry”

I find no shame in the human body, no matter what the shape. The only shame here is that people are so critical when they themselves probably do not have what society has determined as the “perfect body”. We have all come to realize with maturity that there is “no such thing as the perfect body.”

I actually don’t know the story behind this, but I have a strong feeling that she did it to prove a point. Point being, she IS an average-sized gal and isn’t ashamed of her body. I seriously don’t think she has any delusions of being a Britney Spears type and thinking she looked “hot” in her skimpy bikini. I think this was more along the lines of those Dove commercials where REAL women are showing that they are empowered and proud.

I get it. (Where are you Angie??? HELP!!)
The Dove commercials were real. It was real women showing they were proud of their bodies. They were also selling SOAP AND SHAMPOO. THIS is objectification in a negative fashion. It looks like a grasp of fame with whatever she has left. And to ME, that’s BAD. She’s a singer – why is she naked? What does that have to do with anything. BOO to her, and I think she looks silly. More power to her if she’s enjoying it, but blah.

Six months hasn’t changed this place a bit. Everyone gets offended at the drop of a PIN. Lord have mercy, I hope we’re all drinking by January!

I dunno – in general I think running around on stage in your underwear is inappropriate. I wish I had Michael Phelps body but I don’t & you wouldn’t catch me traipsing around a stage in an Olympic swimsuit. :pinch:

You don’t have to be a stick figure model to be attractive but you do have to dress the part. She just doesn’t look good and her outfit isn’t flattering to her body type. There are better choices.
And I can’t wait till Angie gets here. I know girlfriend will back me up.

  10. Joyce says:

Ok guys. You can just stop now. I WISH I looked that good. Yes, I said GOOD. She is probably a size 14. Maybe even 12. That is AVERAGE. I could go on and on, so I’ll just say I think she looks just fine and I applaud her for having the courage to do that. You have no idea how hard that must have been for her to be so exposed and vulnerable like that. I’ve never been in the K-Locke camp, but …. GO KIMBERLY!!!!!!

  11. Billy Boy says:

    What. Was. That.

It’s like two pigs in a gunny sack fightin’! GIRL! WHY NAKED?!?!?

  12. rachel says:

    Why ?????????????????????

  13. CB says:

I must be old but that’s just wrong. Cellulite is unbecoming. Where the h*ll was this & why?
