Instead of the normal caption this post today and Tuesday we are going to take a second and look back at Season 7 and leave our favorite moment. Whether it be an audition, a specific performance or something that happened with the judges, take a second and leave a comment with your thoughts.

Keep in mind we all have an opinion and bashing or out of control comments in this post will cause it to be closed immediately. I know tensions are mounting with the final performances tomorrow but we need to keep level heads, act like adults and remember American Idol is only a TV Show.

As for my favorite moment in Season 7, well I didn’t have one. The whole season was a blur for me and nothing at all sticks out in my mind as memorable. Absolutely nothing. I will however share my favorite moment from a previous season in the little video below. Nothing will ever beat this in my book short of Shyamali Malakar returning to sing in the nude.

Oh ya, just rememberd this one, Simon to Castro “what on earth were you thinking” ? with all of his brittish sarcasam. Castro trying to keep from laughing retorting with equall sarcasam…I was thinking Bob Marley, WHAT? Definitly a pricless moment in time.

I loved Daydream, Hallelujah, Fragile, If I Fell, Travellin’ Thru, Over the Rainbow, I Don’t Wanna Cry, Forever in Blue Jeans,… Can you tell who my favorite is? Jason, “go figure”!

My favorite AI moment of Season 7 was marvelling at the strapless, too-tight gown that had Paula’s .. uh … twin ASSETS … overflowing. :w00t:
wellll, at the risk of sounding like a suck up, my favourite moment this season was discovering this blog.

    Truly.

    Oh and DC.
That is awesome, tricia!

    Sorry, had to list three:

#3 – David Cook’s emotions. So tender they were hot! Hope to see more tears tomorrow night!

    #2 – Chikezie’s “She’s a Woman”. One of my all-time favorite Idol performances.

#1 – “I was thinkin’ Bob Marley! YEAH!”, followed the next night by the most joyful and fun sing-out ever on Idol. It’s just a shame it had to be cut short thanks to the earlier yammering from RJ and PA (bleh).

Thanks, Jason, for making the entire season memorable!

    # 4 Let It Be – brilliant in the Bend It Like Beckham sense of the word.

  8. CB says:

Jason Castro’s “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” after learning how to play a ukulele that week.

    David Cook’s “Billie Jean”.

Ramiele standing between Brooke & Kristy (I think it was them) and almost getting squashed. “You guys are too tall” – coming from someone south of the Disney ride height requirement.

And, of course, DA’s “Where’d they all park?” during his visit back home.

I have a hard time using the word “brilliant” in association with anything American Idol. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE LOVE LOVE this show, but there have been very few moments that have blown me away, but I still can’t even call those things brilliant.

Just my two cents. (Add that to my 10 other 2 cents and that makes 22 cents!)

  10. randomx6 says:

“Here you Come Again” by Carly (brilliant) and the judges reaction to it. This was the moment that confirmed they (especially Simon) were targeting her for elimination

  11. Henni says:

Even though I really did not like the call in questions – I have to say that Simon’s first kiss was truly memorable. It shows that deep down somewhere in that man – there is a human being. Loved that moment and wont forget it. In fact Simon is on Leno right now and he is talking about this moment and saying how uncomfortable he was with the call in!!
Ok, I must say, aside from the other performances I already mentioned, I think Chikeze’s rendition of “She’s A Woman” was awesome! I loved every second of it. It was entertaining and fun and come on, the argyle sweater was just icing on that cake!
Chikezie’s performance wowed me too, I loved his energy. I was grinning ear to ear after hearing that, it was very fun.

I think just about every performer in the top 12 had at least one performance that really stood out in my mind. (…Michael Johns and DC I guiltly admit had more than a few, they were two of my favorites.).

Jason had three performances I really liked: SOTR, I Don’t Wanna Cry, and definitely Hallelujah.

Brooke also had three: loved “Let it Be”; “You’re So Vain”; and “Love is a Battlefield.” I don’t think she quite impressed me as much after the point of “Jolene”, but she was good, and I’m sure she’ll go far post-Idol.

David A had two performances that stood out to me in his run: “Imagine” and probably “And So it Goes”. Just very well done on his part.

Those are just a few of my favorite moments from the show, but I could write a book to list more.

As a bonus, if I had to choose favorite exit interview by one of the idols, it’d have to be Jason’s (because he made me laugh quite a bit) or Michael Johns.

  13. Lee says:
3rd Favorite moment was Paula’s soothsaying re: Jason’s second performance (this is actually a tandem entry combined with Randy’s vision of the future regarding Syesha being third). If they could only tell me who was going to win the World Series this year and if Big Brown will win Belmont, I could make some serious cash.
Half way between nasville and chatanooga, didnt know she was touring. Can you tell me where to find her dates?
