In an interview with OK Magazine, Idol castoff Jason Castro was asked about his use of drugs and alcohol. His response, “When I was younger I was real hyper and they’d think I was always drunk and I had never had a drink of alcohol until, like, last year. But the fact is I’ve never been high in my life.”
Ok so Jason has never been high, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t smoke pot. Remember Bill Clinton, he didn’t inhale.

he’s 21 and he graduated in 2005, you take the SAT when you are a junior, atleast i did, so that means he took it in 2004 before the scores were changed i think. Not positive though

No clue. He’s 21, so he would have taken it when he was around 17 I’m guessing. The scoring changed in 2005 so it could be old scoring system. Could be new. Frankly my dear…(finish the quote)

Let me add one more thing to the conversation.
I remeber him saying how awkward he felt answering questions in front of a camera. There are many artists like that and there isn’t anything wrong with it. Sure it might not give the general public a wonderful impression but he obviously doesn’t care about that. And why should he?
Even with the new scoring system, most people refer to their scores without including the writing section. So the 1340 would be the Math and CR sections and would be out of a total score of 1600. Most colleges still don’t “count” the writing section yet – they use it as a guide to placement in Freshman English classes.
1340/2400 isn’t a very good score.
Unless you are high or something. Then you rock.

Call me a party pooper, but I thought Jason was a Construction Science major at A & M, not a Petroleum Engineering Major. That would put him in the school of ARCHITECTURE.
Also, 2400 has been the top score on the SAT since 2005. If he is 20 now, that score would have been in effect since he was 17.
I think Jason’s telling the truth… I mean basing from how he is during the competition, he is just really a laid-back kind of person… I’m not sure though if his care-free attitude will work to his advantage or disadvantage in the long run… but hey i like the kind of music he makes =D i’m a fan =D

According to EVERYONE WHO KNOWS JASON, he is very intelligent (1340 on his SATs and an honor scholarship to A&M in petroleum engineering). His “high” as you call it comes from his faith and serving others, not drugs! He is a beautiful person, inside and out. To say he must be either stoned or stupid simply shows your ignorance!
AS folks like to say here… that is your opinion. Also since he doesn’t smoke (he says and benefit of the doubt and all) how is he hurting anyone by your POV?
