It’s good as Clay goes. I only listened to about half. I have nothing bad to say about him. I was just never a big fan. He’s like Carly. I know he can sing, but his voice does nothing for me.
I’m happy he found success after the show, though.
I would need the sheet music to know if he was off key, it sounded great to me. The music was a bit loud for his voice to be heard over it. I am and have always been a Clay fan, from season 2 when he hit “the” note in Unchained Melody.
I guess that’s why I’ve never liked Clay… Plus, I think he’s just an average good singer, nothing peculiar, not even a signature thing that helps you distinguish his voice from anyone else’s… Oh well, yeah, his signature corniness.

I have alway liked Clay and wish him well. I thought he should have won but….this song leaves something to be desired. Not a hit!
I would like for his voice to be a little louder than the music.
Don’t care for it. He sounds a bit out of tune in spots.
